Young then moved into Los Angeles and landed the roles as Cathy Metsker with Mel Gibson, Madeleine Stowe & Greg Kinnear in Randall Wallace's We Were Soldiers and Rachel along with Tom Cruise & Keri Russell in JJ Abrams Mission Impossible: 3. Next, in 2016, she played in the film alongside Jim Rash and David Koechner as a support character in the independent film Bernard and Huey. A live action Disney film adaptation A Wrinkle in Time, which featured Oprah Winfrey Reese Witherspoon Mindy Kaing and Reese Witherspoon in the year 2018, was her debut major role.
