Mercedes Schlapp has no easy job in her role in the role of White House adviser for strategic communications. As White House's Strategist Communications Advisor Schlapp faces a myriad of problems. The media attention she received during March was when she came up as one of the candidates for the job of replacing Hope Hicks. Mercedes Schlapp's job in the role of White House Strategic Communications Advisor isn't easy. Her job is made difficult because she has to work alongside a president of the White House who is also the director of his communications. Additionally, there are numerous legal proceedings that could disrupt an administration's message strategy, and a number of Cabinet secretaries are caught up in their personal controversies. Schlapp, however, has maintained her focus on her job. She works closely with White House political affairs and legislative teams along with policy shops and the wider communications department to oversee the rollout of policies. The first few months, Schlapp has concentrated on school safety issues, addiction infrastructure, trade, and addiction. In her role, Schlapp does not have contact with a lot of media. However, she attracted a lot of attention in March after her name was suggested as a possible replacement for Hope Hicks as communications director. It hasn't been a pleasant fight.
